In this article, we dive into the best AI tools for SEO to optimize your workflows, link-building, outreach, SEO content, and more—so you can 10x your traffic. Let’s dive in!

Link building is probably the hardest and most time-consuming SEO endeavor. Dealing with scammers, outreach to prospects, and finding the right prospects, can all prove difficult. LinkDR helps minimize frustrations while boosting your SEO performance.

Successful outreach relies on verified contacts such as email, LinkDR’s contact finder provides reliable email contacts for prospects. LinkDR automates the entire link-building process with AI so you can reap the results without considerable effort.
4. Link Whisper: Best SEO AI tool for internal link-building

My opinion: Link Whisper helps me track and update all internal links fast and effectively in a way I wouldn’t be able to do manually.
Pricing:
- Pro starts at $97
Internal link-building is the most underrated SEO strategy. Big blogs with hundreds or thousands of articles underrate the importance of link-building to their overall SEO strategy and for good reason.
Keeping track of all the articles in the blog and their relevance to each other can be exhausting. This top AI SEO tool for link-building uses AI to suggest internal link-building opportunities while writing your article within the WordPress editor. How convenient!
I especially like how you can add internal links en masse if you have the relevant keywords in place and the specific URLs you want those links to go to. Redditors have reported that Link Whisper helps them automatically locate broken links on their site which would otherwise have taken a lot of time.
5. TermSniper: Best SEO AI tool for nailing search intent

My opinion: Nailing search intent is more important than ever because of the AI SEO revolution. TermSniper helps me understand the search intent behind keywords; although, it’s not as thorough as I’d like it to be.
Pricing:
- Free; Pro starts from $10
As an SEO writer, my top priority when writing an article is addressing the reader’s search intent as much as possible. This not only helps me address the reader’s needs but also helps my article rank high on search engines.
TermSniper helps you nail search intent for a specific keyword. It uses a unique, proprietary word-scoring formula to suggest search intent words that will result in a high ranking on search engines.
I analyzed a couple of keywords I wanted to write about using TermSniper and here’s an overview of the results.

6. Pitchbox: All-In-One SEO AI tool for link-building

My opinion: I love how comprehensive Pitchbox is at automating the link-building process.
Pricing:
- Free; Pro starts from $165
Pitchbox is considered the Operating System of link building. It seamlessly takes care of:
- Influencer outreach: find top influencers, publishers, and bloggers in your niche in seconds.
- Automated outreach: Personalized outreach and follow-ups with prospects – increasing conversions by 52%.
- Data-driven solutions: Pitchbox tracks each step of the outreach process and provides performance reports.
It’s good to note that Pitchbox leans towards the pricey side. However, it delivers on a lot compared to similar tools, as a result, it’s been ranked the #1 outreach software for five years in a row.
7. Can I Rank: Best AI SEO tool for increasing rankings

My opinion: SEO has a lot of moving parts. I like how Can I rank gives me an overview of all the moving parts including what to improve, how to improve it, and more.
Pricing:
- Free; Pro starts from $49
Can I Rank is one of those AI tools every SEO should have in their toolbox. I like how it analyzes and classifies crucial information, making it easy and fast for me to digest. For example, here’s a guest post opportunity for Shakers AI I wouldn’t find without Can I Rank.

Can I Rank gave me several opportunities for guest posts, backlinks, collaboration, and more. In addition, it gave me an overall online marketing performance report for Shakers AI and suggested areas for improvement as you can see below.

Can I rank does not stop there. This top AI SEO tool will help you create relevant content, improve rankings, build authority, grow followers, and much more.
8. Squirrly SEO: Best AI SEO WordPress Plugin

My opinion: I used Can I Rank to generate a sitemap, keywords, and more for Shakers AI.
Pricing:
- Free; Pro starts from $10
Squirrly is a WordPress AI SEO plugin. Even though it takes a while to set it up, the wait is well worth it. Squirrly SEO provides holistic SEO to your site(s). This means it takes care of the A-Z of SEO like On-Page, Off-Page, and technical SEO.
I took it for a spin and installed it on Shakers AI. First, I polished up the technical SEO for my site by generating a sitemap. Here’s what I got.

I liked the detail of the sitemap Squirrly generated such as the thumbnail of the featured image. To further test the tool, I used it to conduct AI-powered keyword research.

As you can see above, the results are categorized according to keyword, country, level of competition, search volume, and number of related articles. Honestly, it gave me some ideas for my next blog posts. At first, Squirrly might overwhelm you. Why? It has tens of features to choose from across different SEO categories, which is a good thing!
However, what sounds out to me is its ease of integration with other WordPress plugins and third-party tools, such as Moz, Semrush, Majestic, etc.

How to Choose the Right AI SEO Tools
Choosing the right AI SEO tools depends on your specific goals, workflow, and budget. Here’s a structured approach to help you make the best choice.
1. Identify Your SEO Needs
Choosing the right AI tools for SEO comes down to your individual needs. AI SEO tools are tailored for different purposes and organizations. This is reflected in the tools’ pricing and features. For example, a personal blog, small business, and large organization will require different tools to meet their needs.
For example, a small business may require Local SEO to increase its visibility in the town it’s based in. A large organization may not need Local SEO since it focuses on boosting its global presence.
2. Pricing and Scalability
AI SEO tools vary widely in price. It’s important to compare pricing across different tools and determine whether they fit your budget. For example, SEMRush and Ahrefs are competing SEO tools with a significant price difference. For this reason, small businesses and agencies often opt for SEMrush while enterprises go for Ahrefs.
Despite pricing, scalability is a key factor to consider. Can the tools scale with your growing business needs? SEO tools have a learning curve; once you become conversant with a tool, it’s hard to switch to a different one and learn it all over again. So make sure the tool can scale with your needs from the get-go to avoid such inconveniences.
3. Assess Capabilities & Accuracy
Since AI is in its early stages, most SEO AI tools produce inaccurate and inconsistent results. To avoid this, use the freemium pricing to test the tools’ capabilities and assess whether they meet your standards. If a tool doesn’t offer a demo or free tier, buy a one-month subscription or look at user reviews on G2 and Reddit before making a purchase.
4. Integration and Compatibility
The true power of AI SEO tools lies in their ability to integrate with other complementary tools and systems you use. For example, an AI auto blogger is more effective when integrated with WordPress and other blogging platforms. In addition, connecting to a tool’s API unlocks limitless capabilities and custom automation that can help you stand out from competitors using the same tools.
My AI SEO Blog Posts Strategy: A Step-by-step Guide
As an SEO content writer, AI SEO tools save me time by automating the tedious aspects of SEO, allowing me to focus on what I enjoy. Below, I’ll take you through how I integrate AI SEO tools into my workflow without compromising quality.
Uncover users’ pain points and search intent
Before rushing to write an article, I must understand why and for whom I’m writing the article. To do this, I use AI SEO tools such as ChatGPT to uncover the pain points that lead the user to their online search.
For example, if I want to write an article on the best washing machines, I first flesh out all the pain points different users can experience. This not only helps in crafting the article but also in coming up with a suitable SEO title, sub-headings, semantic keywords, introduction, and more.
Here’s the prompt I use to discover search intent and pain points

This gives me an exhaustive list I can weave into my article to make it valuable to readers and nail search intent to boost rankings.
Brainstorming Blog Article Ideas Using AI SEO Tools
Do you have a problem coming up with blog post ideas? Thanks to AI SEO tools, you’ll never run out of article ideas again. I use ChatGPT to brainstorm ideas for my blog posts quickly and easily. Here’s how:
First, I come up with a seed keyword like “Best Stable Diffusion models for”, then I use ChatGPT to generate long-tail keywords using this prompt.
10 long tail keywords for "best stable diffusion models for " with a search volume of over 200 and a low keyword difficulty of less than 10
The results have been surprisingly accurate compared to keyword research tools such as Semrush. However, the true yardstick is whether the keywords bring traffic or not. Well, I’m happy to report I’ve written articles based on the keywords below and the results have been incredible for Shaker’s AI traffic.

Boost CTR With Irresistible AI SEO Titles
Your article’s title gives a user the first impression of your website when they search for a keyword on search engines like Google. For this reason, the title has to satisfy certain requirements to rank high on Google and generate clicks.
SEO title requirements to rank high on search engines:
- Length: A great SEO title should be at most 60 characters long. This allows the full title to be displayed in the search results–avoiding truncation.
- Numbers: Studies have shown using numbers in your title increases the click-through rate and engages potential readers. For example, 20 Best Washing Machines is more impactful than Best Washing Machines. Why? It gives a user an idea of what to expect, such as the number of washing machines listed in the article.
- Main Keyword: This is the most important factor in SEO titles. The reason is users use keywords to find information on search engines. Hence, including the main keyword for your article in the title is a must!
- Sentiment: Adding a positive or negative sentiment in your title significantly boosts your ranking and CTR. Words such as “best”, “incredible”, “mind-blowing”, “shocking”, and others make a huge difference in your titles.
- Date: Include the year and/or month in the title to indicate freshness and relevance when possible.
In addition, optimizing titles for readers requires you to go a step further. For example, “5 Best AI Logo Generators for Instant Branding Success” is likely to generate more clicks than, “5 Best AI Logo Generators.” Luckily, AI SEO tools can help you optimize titles that lead to more clicks and higher visibility on search engines.
To do this, I use the following SEO title prompt on ChatGPT:
10 SEO titles for 5 best washing machines that is catchy, 60 chars long.
Here are two I liked: “5 Best Washing Machines for Large & Small Families” and “Best 5 Washing Machines for Every Budget in 2025.” Below find the rest of the results.

Beat the Competition With Comprehensive AI-Generated Blog Outlines
Your readers and Google care about one thing: valuable content. This means your article should cover all the bases and satisfy user intent as much as possible–and better than the competition.
A blog outline is an important step to accomplishing this. Think of a blog outline as the skeleton for your article. It determines the depth and breadth of the article–a short outline results in a short article and a detailed outline results in a long article.
However, a long outline for the sake of length is not a good idea. The length of your outline should be guided by the search intent and pain points you uncovered in step one of this section.
I use ChatGPT to generate my first outline using a simple prompt. For example, if I’m writing an article about the best washing machines, I use this simple blog outline prompt on ChatGPT:
best washing machine thorough blog post outline that addresses all buyers pain points
NOTE: It’s a good idea to include all the pain points you uncovered in step one with this prompt for the best results.
However, over time I noticed this isn’t enough! I follow up with the prompt below for an in-depth blog outline.
What other sub-headings can I add to support the article and boost its SEO besides the ones mentioned above? Take a deep breath and think step by step
NOTE: Before submitting the prompt, I turn on the ChatGPT reasoning feature. It allows it to dig deeper and provide thorough results.
With the results provided, you can pick and choose which ones to include in your article. To ensure success, also be sure to research competing articles as a guide for developing your outline.
Next-level article research with AI SEO Tools
As an SEO content writer, you might not be conversant with a topic as much as you’d like to write a valuable piece for readers. Fortunately, this is where AI SEO tools come to your rescue.
For example, at Shakers AI, I’m responsible for keeping readers abreast with the latest AI tool developments. As you can imagine, I can’t know and test every AI tool out there despite my passion for AI.
To compensate for my shortcomings, I rely on ChatGPT for research and analysis of each tool. For example, I recently wrote an article on, “The Best Stable Diffusion Models for Photorealism.” Given I have never used the models before, I asked ChatGPT for the model list and then asked why a particular model is the best Stable Diffusion model for photorealism. From there, I could write the article based on the points provided.
Blog introductions that hook readers using AI
Besides the SEO title that brings the user to your website, article introductions play a big role in determining if they’ll stay or not. For this reason, I take time to write, edit, and refine my introductions to make them captivating, relatable, and inviting.
ChatGPT is an invaluable AI SEO tool that helps me accomplish this. Here’s how: For starters, it’s good to note there are rules to crafting the perfect blog introduction. These rules consist of:
1. Start with a bold statement or statistic
Why it works: Readers love facts, bold claims, or numbers because they grab attention and add instant credibility.
Example:
“Did you know that 70% of all blog readers stop reading after the first paragraph? If you’re still reading this, congratulations—you’re already ahead of the curve. But if you want to keep your readers hooked, you need to master the art of killer blog intros.”
This approach sets up the reader to think, “How can I avoid losing readers?” creating immediate interest in continuing. Be sure to link to relevant, authoritative, and up-to-date statistics when using them.
2. Ask a provocative question
Why it works: Questions engage the reader’s mind and force them to reflect, making them want to find the answer by reading on.
Example:
“What if I told you that your next blog post could either make or break your brand in under 10 seconds? Do you know what those first few seconds look like?”
The reader feels compelled to keep reading because they need to know how to prevent failure or achieve success.
3. Tell a relatable story
Why it works: Storytelling instantly connects with readers on a personal level. It humanizes your content, making it more relatable and memorable.
Example:
“Last year, I wrote a blog post that flopped—completely. After spending hours researching and writing, I hit publish and watched in frustration as it received zero engagement. I couldn’t understand what went wrong—until I realized it all came down to the intro.”
Sharing your own experience can lead to empathy from the reader, who might have had a similar experience. They’ll keep reading to avoid making the same mistake.
With these in mind, I crank open ChatGPT and copy-paste the 10 rules for perfect blog introductions followed by the prompt below.
Assume youre brian dean of backlinko. Taking account of the 10 rules for blog intros included here, write an intro for best washing machines.
Here’s the AI SEO blog post introduction generated by ChatGPT.

I found giving it a role, eliminates or reduces the mechanical, AI writing it tends to produce.
Craft snappy meta descriptions using AI SEO Tools
Meta descriptions are crucial because they influence click-through rates (CTR) and provide a concise summary of a page’s content in search engine results. If you have a hard time writing meta descriptions while sticking to the required 160-character length like I do, don’t fret.
Here’s the prompt I use to generate meta descriptions using ChatGPT.
Generate a compelling and concise meta description for a blog post about [best washing machines]. The description should be under 160 characters, engaging, and optimized for SEO. It should highlight key benefits, include relevant keywords, and encourage clicks. Avoid generic phrases and make it sound natural and persuasive.
Here’s the result:

Generate pros and cons using AI SEO Tools and save time (Requires Fact-checking)
Pros and cons can take a lot of time and effort to uncover. I use Microsoft Co-pilot and ChatGPT to help speed up the process. Here’s the prompt I use:
What are the pros and cons of [Topic] for [specific audience, e.g., beginners, businesses, students]? Provide a detailed analysis covering key features, pricing, usability, effectiveness, and potential drawbacks. Include insights on how it compares to alternatives, its learning curve, and any hidden costs or limitations. Highlight real-world applications and scenarios where it excels or falls short.
I adjust the prompt according to the article I’m working on. Also, be sure to fact-check the outputs since I’ve noticed ChatGPT can generate incorrect answers.
To keep the answer short, I used the simple prompt below to generate pros and cons for AI SEO tools using ChatGPT.
3 bullet list pros and cons of ai SEO tools
Here’s ChatGPT’s output:

Boost ranking keywords with AI-generated FAQs
Including a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section in your blog posts can greatly enhance their value for readers and improve their performance in search engines. However, knowing what FAQs to include in blog posts can quickly become a chore.
In my experience, I’ve noticed Microsoft Co-pilot is great at generating relevant FAQs compared to ChatGPT. Here’s the prompt I use:
10 faqs for [keyword]
Here’s the output:

Since FAQs should be additional questions and answers not found in the article, it’s a good idea to copy-paste your article outline and then ask Microsoft Co-pilot to generate FAQs not found in the post.
Write conclusions that convert using AI SEO Tools
Conclusions summarize the article in a few paragraphs and emphasize the main takeaway, such as CTAs. SEO professionals have also noted that some users skim the article but read the conclusion to uncover the main takeaways.
For these reasons, conclusions need to be precise, engaging, and highlight the CTA or main takeaway. Here’s a ChatGPT prompt I use for article conclusions.
write a conclusion for an article about the best washing machines. make it catchy, unique, doesn't sound like its written by AI and assume brian dean of backlinko wrote it. make it tight. Include [keyword] wherever it makes sense. Highlight [CTA]
Here’s the result:

For best results, include the article outline or the article itself so ChatGPT can extract the main items and CTA to include in the conclusion. Otherwise, it will generate a generic conclusion like the one shown above.
Conclusion: Best AI SEO Tools
SEO increases the visibility of your products/services/content on search engines such as Google, Bing, YouTube search, and more. For this reason, it’s crucial to get SEO right! Great SEO leads to increased traffic to your website.
However, SEO has a lot of moving parts. It involves keywords, meta tags, titles, links, and more. The different aspects of SEO have to be right for SEO to be effective as a whole. Thanks to the best AI tools for SEO, you don’t have to go at this alone. Leveraging AI SEO tools can take the load off while delivering superior results.
